Extending your residence and work permit

The International Welcome Centre offers assistance in the processing of the renewal of the residence and work permit for you and your family, so that the process continues as quickly as possible. Please note that you must always have a valid permit as long as you are employed, a guest, or enrolled at the UPC. As soon as we submit your renewal application, your legal situation in Spain is automatically extended. You can keep living and working in Spain. You don’t need the renewal resolution before the card expires to be legal in Spain.

Application period: You can request the renewal between 60 days before and 90 days after the expiration date.
