This graphic illustrates the HRS4R process for institutions seeking the HR Excellence in Research Award, structured into three main phases:
Initial Phase (12 months) – Institutions endorse the European Charter & Code (C&C) and apply for the award through a gap analysis, OTM-R policy, and an initial action plan.
Implementation Phase (24-36 months) – Institutions execute and revise their action plan, undergoing an interim assessment.
Award Renewal Phase (every 36 months) – Institutions improve their policies and undergo renewal assessments with or without site visits.
