  • If the contracted person defends their thesis before the maximum contract duration, the contract may continue for up to 12 months or until the maximum duration is reached for this type of contract: 4 years (6 years for persons with disabilities). From thesis defense onward, the contract will be for postdoctoral supervision.
  • If the selected person has already had a similar predoctoral contract, this period must be subtracted from the total maximum duration allowed under current legislation.
