Talent Hub celebrates its first year online: connecting research talent with new opportunities
On 24 April, Talent Hub marked its first anniversary online. Launched with the ambition of becoming a single gateway to research job opportunities, grants, fellowships, and competitive calls, the platform was designed to provide the research community with a modern, accessible, and user-friendly space to explore career and funding opportunities at the UPC.
By bringing together opportunities, resources, and relevant information in one place, Talent Hub helps researchers navigate their career paths more easily and efficiently.
The platform is the result of successful cross-functional collaboration within UPC, combining the expertise and commitment of the UASLR and UCT units of the UPC Personnel Service, together with the International Relations Office. This joint effort demonstrates how collaboration across different areas of the University can drive innovation and deliver tangible value to the research community.
Over the past year, Talent Hub has further strengthened its integration into UPC’s digital ecosystem, establishing clearer connections with key institutional platforms, has reinforced its communication and outreach strategy through new digital channels. and has also expanded its content, providing the research community with valuable, structured information.
The response so far has been encouraging: more than 19,000 active users and over 200,000 impressions during its first year reflect the growing interest in a dedicated space for research talent and career development.
Special thanks to Esther Alsina, Carmen Martínez, and Lluïsa Romanillos, Heads of the three management units involved, for their leadership; to Ignasi Cardús and the UCT-UASLR team for driving the project’s development and overseeing its implementation; and to UPCnet for its valuable contributions to making this initiative possible.
With strong foundations in place and new initiatives on the horizon, the best is yet to come.
