Launched with the goal of becoming a single gateway to research job opportunities, grants, fellowships, and competitive calls, Talent Hub was designed as a modern and user-friendly platform for the research community.

On 24 April, Talent Hub celebrated its first year online. Launched with the goal of becoming a single gateway to research job opportunities, grants, fellowships, and competitive calls, Talent Hub was designed as a modern and user-friendly platform for the research community.

By bringing together opportunities, resources, and key information in one place, the portal helps researchers navigate their careers more easily and efficiently.

Talent Hub is the result of a successful cross-cutting collaboration within UPC, bringing together the expertise and commitment of the UASLR and UCT units of the Human Resources Service, as well as the International Relations Office. This joint effort highlights how collaboration across different areas of the University can generate innovative projects with a real impact on the community.

Over the past year, the portal has also strengthened its integration within UPC’s digital ecosystem, creating clearer connections with key institutional platforms such as the UPC website, the Research Portal, and the Staff Portal.

It has also expanded and consolidated the dissemination of high-value content for the research community, including a comprehensive calls calendar with estimated timelines for application, evaluation, and onboarding phases. In addition, it provides structured information on research career paths and the corresponding contractual frameworks, as well as dedicated pages for specific calls and opportunities.

In parallel, the communication and outreach strategy has been reinforced through new digital channels, including the creation and active management of a dedicated LinkedIn page aimed at increasing the reach and visibility of funding and career opportunities.

The positive response from users, with more than 19,000 active users and over 200,000 impressions during its first year, reflects the growing interest in having a dedicated space for research talent and career development.

Thank you to everyone who has visited, shared, and contributed to Talent Hub during this first year. This milestone belongs to the entire UPC community. With strong foundations in place and new initiatives on the horizon, the best is yet to come.
