Call for Applications: Consolidación Investigadora 2025

The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya – BarcelonaTech (UPC) has launched the 2025 Consolidación Investigadora call, a key opportunity for established-stage researchers (R3) seeking to solidify their professional careers through the creation of permanent positions.

The call, open until July 15, 2025 at 2:00 p.m., aims to address a widely recognized need within the research community: to establish stable ties with the institution and ensure the continuity of individual research lines. With a maximum funding of €200,000 per award, the grants include support for the creation of permanent positions, the development of R&D&I projects, and the improvement of scientific infrastructure and equipment.

The program targets researchers with current or recent contracts under schemes such as Ramon y Cajal, Beatriu de Pinós, Beatriz Galindo, Marie Curie Postdoctoral, as well as lecturers with at least two years of experience or principal investigators (PIs) of ERC grants. To be eligible, applicants must hold an R3 or I3 certificate, not currently occupy a permanent position, and not have been selected as a PI in previous consolidation calls.

This initiative strengthens the institution’s commitment to talent retention and the long-term enhancement of research activity.
