Overview

The Serra Húnter Senior Plan supports Catalan public universities in recruiting distinguished professors and attracting leading international academic talent.  The Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya - Barcelona Tech invites applications across a range of fields. Candidates should be based outside Spain and have solid academic achievements, international teaching and research experience, and the ability to contribute to academic leadership.

  • Demonstrate an established record in research, teaching and knowledge transfer
  • Show capacity for academic leadership and international collaboration

Contract Conditions

  • Type of contract: Distinguished Serra Húnter Professor
  • Term of the contract: 5 years maximum
  • Amount awarded: €62,913.54 gross/year, equivalent to the remuneration of a full Professor with two basic and additional research tranches, at the time of publication.
  • Teaching load: 120 teaching hours/year
  • Candidates with the corresponding accreditation as full professors or contracted full professors can apply for a permanent full professor or contracted full professor post at the UPC.

  • Document outlining the candidate’s potential contributions in the areas of teaching, research, knowledge transfer, and high-level academic leadership that the candidate may bring to the department.
